FileMaker Database Project Case Study
Media Requests Increasing in Number and Complexity
A growing influx of media requests on a daily basis were becoming increasingly difficult to manage and track, and adding staff was not possible. Licensing the reuse of media is a complex process that involved use of spreadsheets, binders and file folders to process requests, manage contacts, write up licensing agreements, invoice and track payments. Additionally there were multiple media formats including images, sound and video that had a variety of owners. In all of this, there was little or no reporting.
Handling all of this with spreadsheets that were not easily shared with people outside of the organization, and binders and file folders that were accessible only on a limited basis inside the organization, was no longer an option. Creating a well constructed FileMaker database allows them to handle double the volume of requests, in less time and with no additional staff.
